However, by taking action and living a lower-carbon lifestyle we help to create new norms and join an energetic movement which helps others do the same. This opens a market for more sustainable ideas and helps convince politicians to do the right thing.

General things that help
Buying good quality – things then lasts longer, reducing production, reducing carbon.
Avoiding air freighted foods, or hothouse grown food by eating fruit and veg in season (see list below).
Eating locally grown food, or Buy British so less CO2 because fewer transport miles.
Buying clothes that are easy to wash and dry and which are built to last, repairing when needed and buying second hand, then selling/donating.
Eating less meat and dairy.
Eating everything you buy.
Taking your own bags to shops, no shop bags.
Using LED light bulbs everywhere.
